Spider Plant

The spider plant, also known as Chlorophytum Comosum, is a fast-growing, pet friendly, easy care plant. This plant can grow in a wide range of lighting conditions and rarely has issues other than occasional browning on the tips. 

This plant develops pups, or spiderettes, which dangle down from the mother plant and are easy to propagate.

Ideal conditions include bright indirect light and drying out between waterings without staying dry an extended period of time. Dehydrated spider plants will develop a silvery-tone to their leaves. If you notice leaves going crispy brown at the tips, it may be getting too little water and/or too much light. 

Native to southern and western Africa.
